I think it’s a fitting partnership that speaks volumes to Kia’s engagement to content creators and in the blogging community. Lots of things are new with Kia and at Mom 2.0 Summit we all got to see first hand what they are up to. Kia paid for my trip to Mom 2.0 Summit but all opinions are my own.
What’s New With Kia
Starting the trip off right, Kia welcomed attendees at Orlando International Airport with their award-winning Eco-Dynamics line-up. The stylin’ red umbrella sportin’ Kia representatives were waiting with figurative arms wide open. No pre-signing up or worries; any Mom 2.0 attendee could grab a sweet (and free) ride to the conference hotel, the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes! How’s that for getting welcomed to Orlando red carpet style? I wish all conference transportation was as easy to figure out. The mess of grabbing an Uber (which Orlando doesn’t even allow!!), cab, or shuttle and of course the cost behind any of those options. I even considered having my husband drop me off at the airport just so I could grab a ride but I assumed that’d scare away all the new friends I could make at my first Mom 2.0 conference. So I sucked it up and drove myself to The Ritz.
Kia: Rise To The Challenge Suite
I’ve been on a few Kia event trips and let me tell you one thing they never do wrong: The hospitality suite!
Stepping into the Kia: Rise To The Challenge Suite at Mom 2.0 Summit was no different. This time I found a series of fun challenges to participate in. The suite was rocking with amazing sound from the Harman Kardon speakers the whole time. Phone needed a pick me up? Kia came prepared with lots of lock boxes so we could plug in, charge our phone, and get the key until we were ready for it again! We created “Momtras”, and honored Mother’s Day with Mom Libs. It was an opportunity for us to share our personal tales of motherhood, with a fun “mashup” of the stories that will be shared at a later time.
Kia Ride & Drive
That was inside Mom 2.0, outside was a whole other ball game! Kia’s vehicles were waiting for some fun and enthusiastic volunteers to jump on it and get the party on the road. The surprise was that the first 50 sign-ups each day won a sweet prize from Harmon Kardon! Mom 2.0 attendees did not disappoint. Participants got to learn more about the Kia fleet and take part in a series of activities involving the Kia Niro’s versatility, efficiency, and all-around fun factor like seeing how many oversized items you could fit into the car in 30-seconds!
The “stoplight dance challenge” had us feature our best “in-car” dance moves – all of which was recorded on a dash cam and compiled into shareable videos. Check out #KiaMom on Twitter to see the rockin’ moves from everyone.
The star of the show was the 2018 Kia Stinger. She was on full display and turning heads. As I debuted here first hand in January, Kia’s cherry red Grand Touring vehicle was also at Mom 2.0 summit. Although the Stinger could not be driven that did not stop attendees from getting a closer look. Just a few more months until production on the Stinger starts so keep your eyes peeled around Fall 2017!
The Kia: Rise To The Challenge Suite was just one of SIX suites I had the pleasure of experiencing at Mom 2.0 Summit this week! Good times, good music, and even better cars. Kia was the perfect sponsor at Mom 2.0 Summit. This year was so great, I’m already wondering how they’ll beat it in 2018.
